Each tar file contains monthly files with hourly data from ERA5 at the native resolution of ERA5 (0.25 deg lat x 0.25 deg lon). This dataset is large, taking up over 4Tb when compressed.

ERA5_slvsubset_*.tar.gz contains column water, the u and v components of the moisture flux, and precipitation. Note that these files are compressed using a scale factor and offset for the data.

ERA5_IWV contains column water vapor

ERA5_hourlyIVT_*.tar.gz contains IVT computed from the u and v components of the moisture flux in ERA5_slvsubser_*.tar.gz.
