These tar files contain data from JRA55, which has a spatial resolution of 1.25 degrees and a temporal resolution of 6 hours for the period of 1980 through 2019.

JRA55_6hourlyIVT.tar contains annual netcdf files for IVT computed in the same manner as for MERRA-2 and ERA5, with the variable name as ivt.

The other tar files are data that were downloaded from the NCAR data archive. Note that some tar files may contain more than one variable (2019 for one variable, 1980 for another).
